What it is like to live here
Nai Harn's centre is the beach and the lake behind it. Mornings start with runners and dog walkers on the lake loop and swimmers in the bay; the beach is framed by green headlands and has kept a natural feel. Around it are villas, small cafés, gyms, yoga studios and Muay Thai camps, and the shops and restaurants of Rawai a few minutes away.
It suits families and people who live outdoors. Phuket Town, hospitals and malls are around 30 minutes away, and the airport about an hour, so it works best for people who are here for the season or the year rather than a weekend.
Property and prices
The Layan Real Estate index lists 18 projects around Nai Harn, with a median developer asking price of about USD 3,394 per m² (October 2026), more of them completed than off-plan.
- Pool villas in small estates around the lake and inland.
- Hillside sea-view villas toward Promthep Cape and Ao Sane.
- A few condos close to the beach.
Land near the beach and on the headlands is limited, and some of it is subject to hillside and coastal building rules. If you buy land or a villa on a slope, have your lawyer confirm the permit, the access right and the drainage before you commit.
How to choose here
- Walk or drive to the beach yourself. 'Nai Harn' is used loosely for a wide area; distances and hills vary a lot.
- Check the rainy season: hillside drainage and the access road after heavy rain.
- Plan for long stays. Rental demand is strongest for monthly and seasonal lets; nightly rentals need a licence or exemption.
- Compare with Rawai next door: similar prices, different feel. See our Rawai page.
