Where the views are
- West coast (Kamala, Surin, Layan): sunsets over the Andaman Sea; the island's highest prices per m², from about USD 4,500 to over USD 5,800 (Layan index, October 2026).
- South (Nai Harn, Rawai hills, Kata): views toward the islands at lower prices.
- East (Cape Panwa): views over Chalong Bay, quiet and private.
How to buy a view safely
- Find out what can be built below and beside you: height limits, zoning and plot owners.
- Check the hillside rules and the building permit; see our due diligence guide.
- Drive the access road in heavy rain.
- Ask whether the view depends on trees on someone else's land.
