What to know before you choose
What you get
City condos in town and toward Central Phuket, from studios to family-size units. Few town projects appear in public developer indices; prices per m² are generally well below the beach areas.
Ownership
A foreigner can own a condo unit freehold in their own name, within the building's 49% foreign quota. Under the route most buyers use, the purchase money must come into Thailand in foreign currency, documented by the bank (FET or certificate); agree the exact route with the bank and your lawyer before paying. Get written confirmation of quota for your unit before any deposit. See our money transfer guide.
What to check here
- Street noise and traffic on main roads.
- Flooding on some streets in very heavy rain.
- Building age, maintenance and the sinking fund balance.
Renting out
Residents, hospital and school staff and long-stay visitors rent here monthly and yearly. Stays under 30 days need a hotel licence or exemption, and many condo bylaws ban them; see renting out legally.
